Not gonna lie, this was really surprising to hear. I was chilling when a relative called me telling that Microsoft is down in all the country and that this affected airports (atleast here in spain).

She didn't tell me much since she's not into the tech world like me and oveheard it in the radio, just called me because it may interested me.

Boy it did, I started to investigate and found out that the mainly affected services are Microsoft Azure (a cloud service they have) and the microsoft 365 office suit, also on the cloud.

One think I fully learnt today is not to look at the news on social media. Check websites you trust or do RSS, because it's full of bots and missinformation.

I don't say blogs won't be like that, but there isn't a shit ton of people doing the same joke over and over again to try to get a bit of attention.

Once my search concluded (which was a quick search on brave reading some news articles and looking at downdetector), I discovered that it was a failed update on their cloud system and their "antivirus" detected their own programs as a menace to the system.

This reminds me of a message I recieved from a friend, who has way more experience and knowledge than me, that said:

according to what the comment say, Microsoft has launched a "failed" update that "fucks up" the windows 11's bootloader that makes the death screen pop up at the 6th-7th second after booting up the computer

It's a coincidence way too big to let it pass just like that. It may be my brain trying to make connections to unrelated stuff, but both a cloud fall and windows hang up? No way. Tho I haven't seen any case, so take this last one as a rumor.

Going to the consecuences, it left a lot of companies unable to work. Here in spain, it affected airlines like Iberia, Ryanair, companies like Repsol, and even the fucking town hall of Madrid.

Tho knowing that they pay a lot of money so in case of a system fail they can blame microsoft (they told me that one time I went to a trip from the highschool, I need to write about that) it's no surprise they are affected as well.

Now, do you guys see normal that half the country is unable to work because of the incompetence of a single company? This is why a monopoly is so dangerous. Our whole future is in the hands of a few people unless we do something to change that asap.

I don't say you need to leave windows now and switch over to GNU/Linux (despite heavily encouraging it). At the end of the day, a lot of people develop software only for windows because of the huge marketshare they hold, everyone is familiar with windows. The problem is, that we are dependent on a company that tries to do anything on their power to be the only company in charge of our technology and we can't even trust on if their software is doing exactly what they say it's doing.

People deserve, no, they have the right to choose what they use. If you want to use Windows, or mac; office or libreoffice; photoshop or GIMP; whatsapp or telegram... People should use them because they choose to, not because a big company forces them to.

Now the internet is only five sites and if one falls, everything crumbles. I understand we as humans make mistakes, Errare humanum est, but this is ridiculous

To conclude with this post I want to say two things:

1. You people have the right to use whatever you want, being open source or not, but it's unacceptable that we are forced to use certain services because other than you decided to.
2. We shouldn't depend on a single company, cuz if they mess up, everything falls appart. I understand that we as humans depend on and help each other to survive, that's how we evolved. But we can't be depending on a company for us to work or basically do anything

Sorry if this post looks a little rushed, it's because it is. I wanted to share my thoughts on this matter asap. I want to work on this website since I think I have a clear vission on how to do it.

Once I port this document to my computer (I'm writting this on the msdos thinkpad) I'll publish this entry both on my website, newgrounds and spacehey. And then I'll start writting a post about all the new ideas I have for this site, so stay tuned!

Sup, it's been a long time since I last wrote here.

I just came back to the site without knowing why, I read some previous entries and jesus christ, they made me cringe so hard.

Idk what to do now with my profile on this social media, I've never been a super social guy anyway. Just wanna know if I'm talking to a wall or some people are actually reading this.

Not going to lie, I'm really glad that NG let's you put all your social media and even gets the favicon automatically updated. Specially great for my website.

Speaking of which, it's in a wip state since I wanted to remake it from scratch to make it readable on a phone. I haven't worked on it for a while, specially on the presentation aspect (it's just grew and white at this moment, I haven't even uploaded the entries yet). Tho I'm proud I got the dropdown menu like I wanted to.

I guess I'll upload this entry on my spacehey account and in my website once it's finished, but idk. The only thing I know is that I have way too many plans for it.

For example: I want to 100% make a text-only version of my blog for it to work propperly either on text based browsers and vintage hardware like my old thinkpad, specially to make it work with frogfind, a search engine for vintage hardware. What can I say? I love retro stuff.

The other thing I want to make is an rss feed, which I think I managed to learn how to do it, I just have to port the entries and I'll make it work. The third thing I wanted to do was integrating nutshell, in short, expandable explanations.

But I think I'll scrap it out for the moment, mainly because of a visual error which causes the explanation to clip and overlap the dropdown menu even tho I took the project and edited the code a bit (it's a public domain project) to fix another bug, I don't know how to fix that and for my blog, I think it's unnecesary. I think I may use it for a specific post but that would be about it.

And I think that's all. Not gonna lie, I kinda missed writting blog posts. See you all on my next one!

I wanna anounce I will get a heart operation this tuesday 19th. You can check this blog post in my website for more info but in short, I'm not going to be able to draw absolutely nothing in a while after the operation, that's all.

Good news, I fixed the website and now is back and running.

Is not finished of course, the entries are missing (I have to translate them to english again) and there's a few pages missing too, but that will be fixed soon.

I also managed to add a header image, for the moment I have no name for the blog, so any ideas for the name would be helpful, sorry for the inconvenience (if someone actually goes to my site lmao)

welp, I just fucking lost everything in my web. Images, entries etc, I don't have a backup of the web so I will have to build it again from scratch.

Looking at the bright side, I now will be able to make it in a better way than before now than I know how wordpress works.

I have the images in my pc but not in this one, so I'm fucked up for the whole weekend lol

What’s up everybody on the internet?

Is March, we are exiting from winter and we enter in that period until summer called spring, in my case, cold season and crazy weather (seriously, in the whole winter I was able to go out to the street just with the tracksuit and now I need a jacket lol)

Stupidity aside, lets see what plans I have for the future shall we?

To begin with, my purpose for this month is finishing the website. As you can see there’s still a lot of visual errors, if you come from the future they’re probably fixed, so here you have a screenshot so you can see what I mean.

Secondly I have the intention of getting better at drawing, since the quality of the drawings is pretty inconsistent, and I’m not specially good with human anatomy.

I also have a much bigger project which is in a very early development state, because of that I won’t give anymore detail for the moment, I’ve been thinking about it for a few months, but I have to create a good story beforehand ;)

This is the last entry I'm posting in social media like Deviantart and NG, I feel like the blog is in a decent state, so from now on I will only anounce when I post a new entry

Aaaand that’s it, to be honest I didn’t had a lot to say considering the previous (and first) update was in mid february instead of the beginning.

What's up everybody on the internet?

Today, after singles day (atleast for me) I release the monthly section I was talking about as I promised.

Where I basically anounce future plans, projects or just letting you know I'm still alive :)

To begin with, I'm gonna keep releasing entries here in Newgrounds and Deviantart in english until the blog is finished in both languages.

(If you want to see the text in spanish you can go to my blog, but is far from being finished)

So we can take it as a little experiment, to see who likes to read text bibles like this one.

Of course in the website once is finished, it will have a newsletter if you want to recieve an actual notification each time I post a new entry, and you will have it in both languages.

One last thing I want to say its the reason of why I haven't been drawing too much, basically I've been busy with my personal life, I'm going to keep drawing, but not with the frequency as I would like to.

Aaaand that's basically everything for today. I know it looks like is not that much, but keep in mind I'm a noob in blogging and this is the first monthly update ^^,

You guys remember I said I was gonna make a blog? (if you don't read this for context) I had a few problems with it, let me explain

At first I tryed making it in blogger, but with blogger I can't make it in two languages unless I make two different blogs (which I wasn't going to do) then, I moved to wordpress.

At this point I didn't wanted to spend money on it, I only wanted to do the experiment to see if I really liked to write long journals to see if spending money would worth it, so the options were limited, and likewise, hard to understand how to make it without pluggins. In wordpress is a premium feature, so of course I didn't took it.

Then, I went to Wix. One of my favourite animation channels, Fred Lammie, made a promo about a nice and easy website creating tool, so I looked forwards it.

I basically made the whole thing and even bought the domain (which is juangames.com, if you come from the future it will redirect you to my current page), but there were some stuff than I couldn't handle. I couldn't use the domain because I had to transfer the register to wix (I bought it in google domains) which I had to wait 60 days for it.

This was mixed with a few problems with the elements not going as I wanted them to go, background box not being selectable, gallery function being garbage etc.

So I had to cancel it, luckily for me, today 12th of February of 2022 I cancelled the premium plan and got my money back (last day of devolution guarrantee yay)

Now I'm making it in wordpress with Hostinger, now I can use my domain, I just have to make the website from scratch.

Even after making the website, would you like me to post long journals like this, or just telling I made a new post on my website? I want to hear ya'll in the comments
